Caffeinated Tidal Wave
Blogosphere you won't believe what life did to me today. Let me first say that I woke up all sorts of cranky and wanting to go back to sleep instead of going to work, but I fought the urge, did the right thing and came in, what a stupid move.
The morning sucked, dealing with my boss is not going well but I won't go into that. Let's just say I was still quite heated and cranky on my way out to lunch. I went and got gas and because this is Rhode Island I was a mere 200 yards from a Dunkin' Donuts. I decided to spend my last $3 and get the lunch of champions, the #3, a bagel and a coffee. I got my iced coffee and it looked like it was brewed to perfection. It was the perfect color and I even got a bonus cup to absorb the sweat. So then on my journey back to the office I took a turn and of course the entire coffee spilled all over the passenger side of my car. Oh the profanity that came out of my mouth! I pulled over and threw the cup out of the car (I don't advocate littering, but when I am pissed I just don't give a hoot) Then I started picking out all the ice cubes, then the water works began. My anger turned into a "why me?" train of thought and next thing I knew I was in the midst of a full on melt down. I got back in my car which now smells like a DD and came back to work driving through my tears. I called Hubby and told him what happened. He astutely stated that clearly it was not all about the coffee which is true, but still my coffee! I was such a mess when I came back to the office that a co-worker gave me money to back and get another coffee which I appreciated. On the way back to the office a second time I saw my former cup in the road and I had to run over it a good three times. If I had taken the lid off my coffee and poured it in my car I would not have covered everything as thoroughly as this spill did. Now I am making trips out to the car to change the paper towels and try to get this thing cleaned up. Thank God my interior is the same color.
I can hardly wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
