Open House Invasion

Life has been a bit rough for Hubby and I as of late. Our landlords dropped the bomb that they are selling the place last Thursday and we needed to clean up so they can show the place. We had about 30 people going in and out yesterday. To them it was a potential commodity to us it is our home and all our most personal stuff, it felt like a violation. We both stood there watching strangers looking at our things commenting on our clutter and the cheap rent. Needless to say we are scared and unsure. After a consult with the world's greatest Mother-in-Law last night we decided it's time to live the American dream and go into way more debt and get a mortgage. It's scary and we are a bit intimidated, but any change worth doing is hard to swallow at first, or so I am told. We are kind of broke so anyone who wants to send us money feel free. They are showing our apartment again today in just 45 minutes. I am going home on my lunch hour to make sure my cats are still there and they didn't make a run for it when they saw strangers. We could tell that they were just as uncomfortable last night as we were. Perhaps they sensed our apprehension or maybe they felt just as violated since it's their home and their clutter too. We are just hoping things don't go too quickly as we need time to find the perfect house. We are glad to have each other to lean on. When one is down the other reassures. We each go back and forth. I thank God everyday for my Hubby because without him I would be in the fetal position, living with my parents and getting lots and lots of therapy. He is the best and I am better because I have him. Home or no home as long as we have each other and our cats everything will be ok.
