Who Doesn't Love A Weekend Recap?

My weekend started out a bit unusually this Friday. I got a call at about 11:15am, it was poor Hubby who was upchucking at work and desperately needed to be rescued and brought home. I dropped everything and went and got the poor guy who was that unhealthy shade of green once more. I got him home, set up the sofa bed for him so he could watch the dish as he recuperated. I then went and got another Puking Survival Kit of even more Powerade, a bigger bottle of Pepto and crackers. Even the cashier at the pharmacy could tell I was dealing with a puker and wished my patient well as I walked out. I came back home and he was all set to sleep and recover from the awkward public vomiting he contended with at work(that has to suck). It was about 12:30 once he was all set and I was sitting in the recliner trying like crazy to talk myself into finishing out the work day and starting my weekend at the normal time. Alas, it was to no avail. I spent the rest of the afternoon drifting in and out of sleep with Hubby right there on the sofa bed watching TV. I felt he needed me to be there although that could have been just rationalization of the fact that I needed the weekend and I just couldn't get myself to go back to my dismal office.
Later that night we went grocery shopping and that was it. We never left our place until we both went to work this morning. You might find this boring but we relished it. We slept in on Saturday and tinkered about the house staying out of the rain that was all across the eastern coast. We played scrabble (I dominated as usual) we watched movies, we watched the NCAA at night and then Sunday was much of the same except we got up at 9am. We watched Hero from Netflix as well as Devil's Playground, both were very good in their own way. Although, reading a movie gets to me after a while which was what Hero required. The weekend was capped off beautifully with a Yankee victory against the Boston Bums. Perhaps not the most exciting weekend ever, but definitely one of the most enjoyable.
